New Town Clerk Selected
Tremont, Maine – Sarah Abbott has been selected as the next Town Clerk for the Town of Tremont. Abbott will officially be appointed to the position on September 1st. She will be training alongside outgoing Town Clerk Katie Dandurand, two days a week for the remainder of August. Abbott will continue in her current role as Deputy Code Enforcement Officer until September 1st.
Previously, Abbott served as Deputy Code Enforcement Officer for Tremont and Southwest Harbor, as Deputy Clerk for the Town of Southwest Harbor, as well as a teller at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.
Abbott is a resident of Tremont, along with her husband and their son. Sarah’s cheerful demeanor, along with her hard work ethic and willingness to learn make her an excellent choice for the Town Clerk position.
