Hurricane Lee Updates

The Town of Tremont officials are monitoring Hurricane Lee and it's potential impacts on the community. At this time we do not anticipate needing to open a Storm Comfort Center, but if needed information on that will be communicated at that time. Be sure to check the towns Facebook page for updates.
National Weather Service Updates

Update from the National Weather Service at 6:37a.m. September 15, 2023
Of note, Hurricane Lee is now forecasted to track further east, with a projected landfall of New Brunswick/Nova Scotia, later Saturday. Coastal and interior Hancock (and Washington) County is forecasted to experience significant tropical storm winds, rain and flooding, with widespread utilities outages likely throughout the region. We also anticipate road closures due to downed trees, limbs and wires, and possibly washouts and culvert failures.
