Tremont Deputy Code Enforcement Officer
Tremont, Maine – On Monday, October 2nd, Tremont Town Manager Jesse Dunbar appointed Katie Higgins as the new Deputy Code Enforcement Officer for Tremont. Higgins will serve as Deputy CEO in Tremont Tuesday-Thursday, with Wednesday being a half day. Monday, half day Wednesday, and Friday Higgins will be contracted to Southwest Harbor to serve as their Deputy CEO. She will be training alongside our current CEO, John Larson. Larson remains the towns plumbing inspector while Higgins works on obtaining her LPI certification. She will also be serving as the 911 Addressing Officer.
Previously, Higgins served as Postal Clerk, among many titles, at the Bernard Post Office for the last 11 years, she is certainly a familiar face for the residents of Tremont.
Higgins is a resident of Tremont, along with her Fiancé Blake and their dog Titan.
